Office Space

This is the owner's office at a meat factory in Moscow.

It does not look like an office at all.
This is what happens when people do what they really want and do not feel they need to show off with huge crystal chandeliers and fake antiques.

It made me think:
we spend a huge amount of time in the office (except those who work from home, of course). The surroundings do have an impact on how we feel, how happy we are, how quickly we make the decisions.
Why we either do not do anything about it at all or if we do then in a slightly chaotic manner?

Is it because we need the difference between home comforts and wearying office hours to be as great as possible? Is it because we simply don't care? Or we think it is the employer's responsibility to put a chair and a desk for us and let us grow indoor plants on a windowsill?

The least I can do is clear up the clutter on my desk tomorrow and go from there
